Pastor Tim returns from a 3 month sabbatical with a fitting message about the Sabbath. We are commanded by God (in Creation – prior to the Law) to rest, and using stories about David Green (of Hobby Lobby) and S. Truett Cathy (of Chic-Fil-A) and Moses shows how God blesses and provides for the honoring of His Word.
Pastor Dan uses Scripture, quotes from St. Ignatius and David Benner (and William Wallace!), as well as a white board for congregation participation, to shine light on the ‘interior freedom’ that comes in knowing and following Jesus. It is when we trust in His Word and allow Him to lead us that we are truly free. The video begins with a quick testimony of God’s miraculous provision!
Is God real in your life? When we follow the Truth, abide in the Word and know who we are as children of God, we can affect those around us and change the world. Special Guest speaker – Andre Adzhigirey
On this Father’s Day, Pastor Josh encourages dads to know they have what it takes. Even when the world views and portrays fathers as incompetent etc, as the church, when we restore honor in the homes, amazing things begin to happen. Some scary statistics are shared and the ‘Like Dad’ video from the Skit Guys is played too!
In a real-life scripture-in-action detail, Pastor Kathy describes the love and leading of the shepherd and it’s sheep – and how the sheep get to know the voice of the Shepherd and follow Him. She shows how He leads us to still waters and makes us lie down in green pastures.
Do you just want the real? Starting with Acts 2:41-47, Pastor Robb Hattem lays out the Essence of the Church – and having a passion for: God’s presence, authenticity, a transformed life, the scriptures, and for the harvest. On this birthday of the church – Pentecost Sunday – he encourages each of us, with honesty and transparency, to follow after Jesus. Towards the very end of the message, Pastor Robb shares the news of his (and Janet’s) plans to move back to California soon.
Looking at the life of Elijah, Pastor Mike O’Brien challenges us to get on one side of the fence; to not be lukewarm.
The main text used is 1 Kings 18, especially verse 21: “And Elijah came near to all the people and said, how long will you go limping between two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him, but if Baal, then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word.”
Let us rebuild and restore that which has been torn down and honor God above all else.
Includes a clip from Paul Harvey (recorded in 1965) about he would do if he was the devil – to ruin America!
The Father longs to be in relationship with us. Even the covenant provision of tithes and offerings was designed to foster relationship both with Him and with one another. In the New Testament we enjoy an even higher standard because of the Holy Spirit’s redemptive work through the Lord Jesus.
The second in a three-part mini-series on Giving and Stewardship.
God has given us richly all things to enjoy . Best of all He has given us Himself. A heart like His heart is one that is loving and giving; one that highly values relationship. Though God delights in blessing us, He never wants those blessings to interfere with our relationship with Him. The first in a three-part mini-series on Giving and Stewardship.
If the concepts of leadership and submission are merely man’s ideas, we have no obligation to follow them. If, however, they are God’s idea, we have no right to ignore them. Because man has so often distorted the intent of God’s design we have often failed to avail ourselves of His life-giving principles. We should go God’s way with God’s heart.
