Pastor Tim returns from a 3 month sabbatical with a fitting message about the Sabbath. We are commanded by God (in Creation – prior to the Law) to rest, and using stories about David Green (of Hobby Lobby) and S. Truett Cathy (of Chic-Fil-A) and Moses shows how God blesses and provides for the honoring of His Word.
Pastor Dan uses Scripture, quotes from St. Ignatius and David Benner (and William Wallace!), as well as a white board for congregation participation, to shine light on the ‘interior freedom’ that comes in knowing and following Jesus. It is when we trust in His Word and allow Him to lead us that we are truly free. The video begins with a quick testimony of God’s miraculous provision!
Is God real in your life? When we follow the Truth, abide in the Word and know who we are as children of God, we can affect those around us and change the world. Special Guest speaker – Andre Adzhigirey
On this Father’s Day, Pastor Josh encourages dads to know they have what it takes. Even when the world views and portrays fathers as incompetent etc, as the church, when we restore honor in the homes, amazing things begin to happen. Some scary statistics are shared and the ‘Like Dad’ video from the Skit Guys is played too!
In a real-life scripture-in-action detail, Pastor Kathy describes the love and leading of the shepherd and it’s sheep – and how the sheep get to know the voice of the Shepherd and follow Him. She shows how He leads us to still waters and makes us lie down in green pastures.
Many times in our lives we find ourselves in the wilderness – dry, seemingly loney, harsh places and times. But rest assured, God has His hand on us! And it is in that place that the Lord speaks loudest to us. Looking at the lives of Jesus, Job and Moses we can find hope in these seasons.
Do you just want the real? Starting with Acts 2:41-47, Pastor Robb Hattem lays out the Essence of the Church – and having a passion for: God’s presence, authenticity, a transformed life, the scriptures, and for the harvest. On this birthday of the church – Pentecost Sunday – he encourages each of us, with honesty and transparency, to follow after Jesus. Towards the very end of the message, Pastor Robb shares the news of his (and Janet’s) plans to move back to California soon.
Even though our kids do crazy stupid stuff, we love them. We sometimes forget that God still loves His kids when we do crazy stupid stuff. Author, Singer, Pastor Christopher Hopper challenges us to Love above all else. Full of funny anecdotes and serious moments (and also a plug for Bacon Lollipops from Max Burger!) One of his main points is a quote from Brian Zonn “If we defend Christian truth without Christian love, then we are not credible disciples of Jesus.”
Pastor Josh begins by recognizing the ‘newest’ mom, the ‘most seasoned’ mom, and the ‘most kids’ mom. Includes a touching Skit Guys video about Motherhood: Taking Care of Us for Life. He asks what are some attributes of Moms, and also runs through some funny job titles that Mom’s fulfill – sometimes all within a morning!
