Orthodoxy shouldn’t be a scary word, or something that conjures up judgement. It literally means “true belief”.
Before the sermon, though, Pastor Tim prays for a few people as led by the Spirit.
Included are discussions of the Council of Nicea (and the Nicene Creed they agreed on), as well as the 1st Council at Constantinople and the addition of a few statements – relating mostly to the Holy Spirit.
And while we might judge the Pharisees, Sadducees, Essenes & Zealots of Jesus’ day, our ‘Christian’ culture today hasn’t changed much! But we’re to seek after the Truth, and live the way Jesus did.
