Continuing in the series on ‘Why We Believe What We Believe,’ Pastor Tim discusses again the topic of God coming ‘in the flesh’ in Jesus.
Starting with John 1:1, we learn that Jesus took on flesh and ‘moved into the neighborhood.’ Being created in His image, we’re to do the same.
In John 15, we see that we are not to elevate the traditions of man over the Word of God, or else our worship of (and relationship with) God is vanity.
In relation to that topic of tradition elevation, tattoos are discussed, as well as the image of the cross, and how Christians can sometimes squabble over things that pull our focus from Jesus and His commission to us.
To close, Pastor leads the congregation in prayer, asking for ‘breadcrumbs’ from the Bread of Life.
