In Acts chapter 16, we learn about Paul’s trip to Macedonia (Greece) especially Philippi. Pastor Tim finishes up laying this background reading through verses 16 -40. He discusses those they encounter – including Lydia, a seller of purple cloth, the fortune-telling (python) slave girl, and the jailer. Pastor also goes into Paul’s imprisonment and how instead of complaining, he and his companions praised God. As their focus was on their heavenly Father, God freed them from the chains that bound them. Next week we’ll begin in the book of Philippians.
